Twenty-two arrested on drug charges
Serious crimes that involve drugs and drug charges are not taken lightly by Pennsylvania courts or jury members. The Attorney General’s Offices has announced today that charges are being filed against at least twenty-two people from Cambria County after a drug raid of epic proportions this morning. The arrests stem from an ongoing investigation that has been targeting drug trafficking and related violent crimes in the area for an unspecified amount of time. In addition to the Attorney General’s Office, U.S. Marshals, the PA Board of Probation and Parole, PA State Police, Somerset D.A., West Hills Regional Police, and the Johnstown P.D. all played a role in the investigation. The alleged suspects include eight people from Somerset County, including two 23-year-old males, a 24-year-old male, a 28-year-old male, and a 29-year-old male. The men’s charges range from possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia to operating a vehicle without a license to disorderly conduct. The female suspects from Somerset include a 31-year-old arrested for possession of and paraphernalia for heroin, a 33-year-old arrested for possession and paraphernalia, and a 35-year-old arrested for possession and paraphernalia. Cambria resident arrests include a 19-year-old male for possession and paraphernalia, a 20-year-old male for several drug crimes, a 22-year-old male for possession and paraphernalia, a 22-year-old male drug crimes and disorderly conduct, a 31-year-old male for possession and paraphernalia, and a 32-year-old man with possession and intent to deliver crack cocaine. Women ages 20, 21, 29, 31, and 32 were also arrested on drug-related charges.
