Man arrested for trespassing on FBI property

A person from Brookline was arrested on the FBI’s South Side property in the early hours of Monday. The 26-year-old man has been charged with criminal mischief, trespassing, and public intoxication. He was calling out for help when a police officer heard him shortly before 2 a.m. The man is being charged with criminal mischief, defiant trespassing, and public drunkenness. When he realized he was in trouble, he yelled for help and drew a Pittsburgh police officer shortly before a.m., according to reports from the Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety. The police officer then alerted a security guard and called for assistance at the FBI building along the 3300 block of East Carson Street. Officers found the man hanging onto the outside of a fence that surrounds the FBI property above a 30-foot drop to train tracks. In order to ensure the man’s safety, the officer handcuffed the man’s belt to the fence as they waited for a rescue vehicle. After paramedics used shears to cut the fence, the man was arrested and taken to a nearby station to be booked.
