Bedford boy charged with juvenile crimes

Pittsburgh juvenile offense attorney

As a Pittsburgh juvenile crimes lawyer, I have dealt with hundreds upon hundreds of parents and their children. As a father myself, I understand that kids can do some pretty dumb things and I’m never surprised at the stories I hear on a day-to-day basis. Often times, most parents I speak to are in shock, in disarray, and they feel like they’ve failed. Well, that is hardly ever the case. Kids today have so many influences that, whether we want to believe it or not, can be beyond our grasp as parents. When a child does make a mistake, however, you must understand that it isn’t the end of the world and that, more or less, it is the mistakes they make that turn them into sound adults as they grow older. If you have a child who has been arrested for juvenile crimes, it is important that you attain an accomplished juvenile crimes attorney to ensure that whatever wrong they’ve done stays off of any permanent record that could eventually be seen by a college admissions boards, employer, or military review panel.

Boy posts pictures of sex acts with statue

Recently, a 14-year-old boy from Bedford County was charged with “desecrating a venerable object.” Reports show that the boy took pictures of himself and a statue of the Christian prophet Jesus, and that in those pictures he was shown mimicking “sex acts.” The boy eventually posted those pictures on a social media outlet, although reports do not show which social media platform. According to Bedford County court officials, the report is sealed because it was filed in juvenile court. The law in which the boy is being charged under dates back more than forty-two years to 1972. It is being compared to a similar case, dating back to 2010, when a college student urinated on a Christmas nativity scene in Wilkes-Barre. According to attainable police reports, the statue in question this time belongs to the Love in Name of Christ group, a Christian organization that has one of its branches in Everett, PA.
